Course Content
Technical, non-technical, regulatory, ethical,
and business practice activities for a well-rounded education provided the
education directly benefits the health, safety, or welfare of the public.
There must be a clear purpose and objective for each activity which will
maintain, improve, or expand skills and knowledge obtained prior to initial
licensure or certification or develop new and relevant skills and knowledge.
Course Approval
The Board does not pre-approve specific courses. Each engineer must determine whether an activity
meets the Board's requirements. The board has a
Continuing Education Assessment Form to assist
in determining if PDHs may be claimed for a specific course or activity.
Sponsor Approval
The Board does not pre-approve course sponsors.

June 30 of even-numbered years for all engineers

A maximum of 12 PDH may be carried forward
into the next renewal period.
|
The responsibility of maintaining records
to be used to support credits claimed is the sole responsibility of the licensee.
The records must be maintained for a period of two years.

Exemption from the PDH requirements include new licensees for first
biennial renewal,
active military duty, or serious illness, injury or other
extenuating circumstance. Please refer to the state board's
website for specific requirements and time periods allowed.
