Course Requirements
Course Content
Courses which relate to the licensee’s professional practice, including ethical and management courses.

Accepted activities include (a) completing college courses, (b) completing courses awarding CEU credits, (c) attending seminars, classes, or technical presentations, (d) teaching courses, seminars, or technical presentations, (e) publishing papers, articles, or books, or (f) active participation in professional or technical societies.  See board website for more specific information.
Course Approval
The Board does not pre-approve specific courses.  Each engineer must determine whether an activity meets the Board's requirements.
Sponsor Approval
The Board does not pre-approve course sponsors.
Online Courses
Online courses are accepted.

There is no limit on the number of hours that can be earned through online continuing education.

PDH Credit Requirement
30 PDH biennially
Renewal Dates
December 31 based on the year of initial licensure
PDH Carryover
A maximum of 15 PDH may be carried forward into the next renewal period.
Record Keeping
The responsibility of maintaining records to be used to support credits claimed is the sole responsibility of the licensee.

The records must be maintained for a period of four years.
Exemptions
Exemption from the PDH requirements include new licensees, retired or inactive status, military service, or working overseas.  Please refer to the state board's website for specific requirements and time periods allowed.
