Course Content
Technical, ethical, or managerial content.
Must have a clear purpose and objective which will maintain, improve, or
expand the skills and knowledge of the licensee relevant to the practice of
engineering.
Accepted activities include (a) completing college courses,
(b) completing courses awarding CEU credits, (c) attending
seminars, classes, or technical presentations, (d) teaching courses, seminars, or technical
presentations, (e) publishing papers, articles, or books, (f)
receiving a U.S. patent, or (g) active participation in
professional or technical societies. See board website for more specific information.
Course Approval
The Board does not pre-approve specific courses. Each engineer must determine whether an activity
meets the Board's requirements.
Sponsor Approval
The Board does not pre-approve course sponsors.

December 31 of even-numbered years for
engineers with license numbers ending with an even number.
December 31 of odd-numbered years for
engineers with license numbers ending with an odd number.

A maximum of 15 PDH may be carried forward
into the next renewal period.
|
The responsibility of maintaining records
to be used to support credits claimed is the sole responsibility of the licensee.
The records must be maintained for a period of three years.

Exemption from the PDH requirements include new licensees for their
first renewal period, active military duty,
retired status, or proof of disability, illness, or other
extenuating circumstance. Please
refer to the state board's website for specific requirements and
time periods allowed.
