Courses must be technical in nature and must
pertain to the engineer's license. General management training, (for
personnel or projects) will not be approved, (exception will be allowed for
practice related to management courses sponsored by a recognized technical
society).
Accepted activities include (a) completing college or university courses,
(b) completing courses awarding CEU credits, (c) attending seminars and workshops
or successfully completion of online courses, (d) authoring, teaching,
or presenting courses, (e) publishing papers, articles, or books, (f)
receiving a U.S. patent, (g) active participation in professional and
technical societies, (h) self-study, (i) mentoring of engineering topics,
(j) non-technical educational activities related to the registrants employment,
and (k) passing a board prepared take home test. See Board website for more information

activities.
Course Approval
The Board does not pre-approve specific courses. Each engineer must determine whether an activity
meets the Board's requirements.
Sponsor Approval
The Board does not pre-approve course sponsors.
