Course Content
The course must have a "clear purpose and
objective which will maintain, improve or expand the skills and knowledge
relevant to the licensee's field of practice".
Accepted activities include (a) completing college or university courses,
(b) completing courses awarding CEU credits, (c) attending
seminars, classes, or technical presentations, (d) teaching courses, seminars, or technical
presentations, (e) publishing papers, articles, or books, (f)
receiving a U.S. patent, or (g) active participation in
professional technical societies. See board website for more specific information.
Course Approval
The Board does not pre-approve specific courses. Each engineer must determine whether an activity
meets the Board's requirements.
Sponsor Approval
The Board does not pre-approve course sponsors.

A maximum of 15 PDH may be carried forward
into the next renewal period.

The responsibility of maintaining records
to be used to support credits claimed is the
responsibility of the registrant.
The records must be maintained for a period of three (3) years.

Exemption from the PDH requirements include new licensee by way of
exam or comity, active military duty,
retired status, or disability, illness or other extenuation
circumstance. Please
refer to the state board's website for specific requirements and time periods allowed.
