At least 20 PDH must be in technical areas
that directly safeguard the public's health, safety and welfare. A
maximum of 10 PDH may be managerial, or ethical, and
computer classes other than CADD.
Accepted activities include (a) completing college or university courses,
(b) completing courses awarding CEU credits, (c) attending
seminars, classes, or technical presentations, (d) teaching courses, seminars, or technical
presentations, (e) publishing papers, articles, or books, (f)
receiving a U.S. patent, or (g) active participation in
professional organizations or technical societies. See board website for more specific information.
Course Approval
The Board does not pre-approve specific courses. Each engineer must determine whether an activity
meets the Board's requirements.
Sponsor Approval
The Board does not pre-approve course sponsors.
