Course Requirements
Course Content
The course must have an "identifiable clear statement of purpose and defined objective for the educational program directly related to the practice of a professional engineer or professional structural engineer".

Accepted activities include (a) completing college or university courses, (b) completing courses awarding CEU credits, (c) attending seminars, classes, or technical presentations, (d) teaching courses, seminars, or technical presentations (limited to 12 PDHs), (e) publishing papers, articles, or books (limited to 4 PDHs), or (f) active participation in professional or technical societies (see board website for restrictions).  See board website for more specific information.
Course Approval
The Board does not pre-approve specific courses.  Each engineer must determine whether an activity meets the Board's requirements.
Sponsor Approval
The Board does not pre-approve course sponsors.
Online Courses
Online courses are accepted, provided there is a test to document that the registrant has learned the material in the course.

PDH Credit Requirement
24 PDH biennially
Renewal Dates
December 31 of even-numbered years
PDH Carryover
A maximum of 12 PDH may be carried forward into the next renewal period.
Record Keeping
The responsibility of maintaining records to be used to support credits claimed is the responsibility of the registrant.

The records must be maintained for a period of three (3) years.
